My Love Affair With Jeff Lewis

Okay, it's not quite as scandalous as it sounds because 1) he's openly gay and 2) I'm openly married.  But I love Jeff Lewis!

I almost squealed when I realized he had back-to-back shows on last night.  Interior Therapy is back and there's a new show Property Envy on right after with Jeff, Mary McDonald, and Brandie Malay.  Both were sufficiently entertaining, but Flipping Out is my favorite and I am waiting patiently for it to start up again.

I'm so jealous of his design interns.  I would seriously consider packing up and moving to CA if he would hire me.  I know his employees can feel the brunt of his sometimes biting criticism, but he's totally hysterical and talented he has a martini hour at work...c'mon.  And Jenni and Zoila, love 'em too.

I love this kitchen he did at Fox Hollow:

And this closet is heavenly:

What's your take on Jeff Lewis?  Love him, hate him, don't know him, want to be him?

  1. I too have a love affair with Jeff Lewis. None of my friends or loved ones get it so I'm so glad to see that there is another soul out there that would want to put up with his craziness! I am clueless when it comes to interior design, I just want to be a part of the craziness! :)

  3. He is incredibly talented and incredibly obnoxious and rude. That makes me nervous on screen so for that reason I do not watch him very often. But he is talented!

    1. I agree that he can be quite rude, but it makes for great TV. I love not knowing what will come out of his mouth next!

  4. He totally cracks me up, but he'd probably have me in tears if I worked for him. Have a great weekend Jess. :)

    1. I totally agree. While I'd like to think that I have thick enough skin not to be bothered, in reality I'd probably be crying like a baby!

  5. I love him too! I imagine his antics are not as severe as they are on the shows, because they gotta have something for TV.

OMG, that first episode of Interior Therapy---talk about dramatics! It was a bit over the top. But so entertaining. I'm glad a new season is on.

I could've done without the Property Envy show. Cool to see the houses, but meh over the show concept.

    1. Yea, I bet that there is a lot of editing involved to maximize comic relief so I'm *guessing* he's not as bad in real life! I'm going to give Property Envy a couple more weeks and see if I can really get into it, but I agree, not my favorite format.
